Happy New Year!
While 2011 saw the reemergence of Forge, this year we plan to grow even bigger. How big?
Why not....in December the end of the world is happening anyway? Here are some things to look forward to:
- Quarterly Events: we have teamed up with the guys at Peak10 Hosting to put together a great speaker series. The first will be in February with more details to come.
- Special Events: we are constantly on the lookout for unique events that intersect the arts with technology. First up will be screenings of Something Ventured, a documentary film about the original venture capitalists and the companies they helped to start and grow--like Apple, Intel, Genentech, Cisco, Tandem and Atari. The screenings will take place at the Dreamland Film Center, a new indie theater brought to you by the Louisville Film Society in NuLu that if you have not heard of yet, we suggest you should.
- More Relevant Content: while Forge has and will continue to be a grassroots organization, we are putting together a larger team to better serve the organization's goals. This will expand our reach and allow us to continue to bring more relevant content to you in exciting ways.
Do you have suggestions or want to help? Reply to this email and let us know! We want 2012 to be as BIG as possible.
Finally, if you don't have a New Year's resolution, here's one: read this, and if you are looking or know someone who would be great for a sales position, Peak10 is hiring a Sales Engineer. Reply for more details or contact John Bennet at Peak10 (and drop us a line if you know of other open job positions too).
